:) guys read it!
The uprising of the average student:

We are the ones who are ignored and pushed aside, who are never recognized or praised, we are the average students. Of course we want good grades, who doesn’t? We’re not looked to highly upon by teachers, because naturally a teacher’s favorite is going to be the smartest kid, the one who knows everything about anything, gets on our last nerve and complains about getting an A-, yeah that kid. Most teachers and others find average students to be quitters and lazy. However, these stereotypes are common misconceptions. Who’s to say that average students don’t work just as hard as everyone else?

Some average students are quitters, sure but maybe it’s because they never got any encouragement to keep on trying. Who gets a sticker on their test? The girl with an A, who can just add that sticker to her collection, from the school year or the girl who studied for an hour, got a C, but is still proud because she knows she worked hard, who gets the sticker, who gets the “Great!” written on the top of their test? Of course everybody needs to be somewhat self motivated, and we’re not implying a sticker is the only encouragement we need to go from C’s to A’s.

The kids teachers call “slackers” are secretly scared to their very core of college. Because we know, we’re not smart , we’re not an athlete and are not native America, well there goes all of the scholarship opportunities, out the window! What are we supposed to do! Just because we’re not too good at math or reading doesn’t mean we couldn’t thrive in a college setting, but we’ll never get the chance (unless your loaded) because we’ll probably end up in some run down community college in the slums of the east side of Chicago. Oh boy, doesn’t the American dream just give you the chills. The saddest thing about all of this is that nothing will ever change.

Brilliant minds aren’t always brilliant in school. We are your dreamers and your wanderers, we have radically wild imaginations, that are so huge, our ideas just feel like they’re about to burst and if teachers just realized that, maybe we would get some respect in the world of high school.

This might be a complete and utter lie, but average students have to be ten times more stressed out than a straight A student. Because, most of an average student’s stress comes from school itself, worrying about grades, freaking out because they just don’t get it! However, on the other hand a straight A student’s stress has to be less, because they get school, they’re smart and get good grades. We’re not saying a straight A student doesn’t have to work hard to get those grades, and have other stresses in their life besides school, but logically this makes sense.

In conclusion, just give us a chance, don’t laugh when we ask you a stupid question, because 90% of the time, we’re serious and we’re not trying to be funny, we just don’t get it. Be open, to the idea, that there could be a brilliant mind behind that F you just gave them on their paper, because of the billions of grammar mistakes, but just for a second look past that and focus on the content, because chances are, our heart is poured into that paper. We’re not dumb, we just see things differently.
