This is a poem about a friend who sees another friend falling away into darkness.
Soliloquy of a Broken Soul

I don’t know what to do or say,
I watch her sit alone all day.
Enveloped by the lonesome sun,
what? No not that, it's night that won.

With out a hand to hold I fear,
she trembles from such thoughts so queer.
And within thinking ever finding,
twisted ideas ever binding.

Within darkness without light,
cannot find the life’s delight!
She brings in feelings numb and cold,
tangles them within her soul.

She hates the light she loves the dark,
she cannot believe the sun could hark!
I cannot watch it burdens me,
my tears do fall, quite endlessly.

Demons pounce upon the word,
a fate so cold, its all unheard.
And burning thoughts of human wrath,
one could only dream the math.

I know she cries, I know she weeps.
Quite endlessly, I know she sleeps.
To escape life’s whisper she will not,
go about, no dare she not!

So sad and low inside she stays,
waits till night takes over day.
And then she sits and ponders hard,
about her tortured mental scars.

The anger building up inside,
does burden me so lest I hide.
But alas I cannot for fear the fact,
of chains entwining my contact.

It's time to go I see her leave,
her window sill, did I impede?
But how could she think she'd know,
a human soul when her darkness glow?

It's not a man that makes up wrath,
it's but a demon of that path.
A human soul is not to hurt,
oh spare us please! One is not dirt!

I reach my hand to where she stay,
to grab her arm, don’t go but stay.
I’ll help you through the troubles here,
I promise you’ll see through this fear.

I want to show you everything,
ideas that are not menacing.
To prove to you the light is hope,
and stereotypes just cut the rope.

I love her so to let her go.
To see the light,
to know what’s right.
To understand that life is dear.
To watch the rainbow break the drear.
Oh how I'd prance when day abides.
To see my loved one as her pain subsides.
