The other day the thought occurred
The world may end as we have heard

My soul alone and left to wander?
No good thought on which to ponder

Then in a flash it did occur to me,
The truth at last it clearly is to be

I need but think and think of you
The love we have I know its true

Before too long we would be as one

If truth we tell is truth we know
Then easy it is for me to show
