I can't say more than what's been said.
I lived a normal life
Of dreams and fantasies
Before you
Before the fever

I had heard the tales
Of the vicious virus
That couldn't be
Stopped

The first time
Our fingers locked
Was the day I would
Regret forever

It spread to me
On-contact
I watched it creep up my arm
And into my heart

My dreams turned to nightmares
My fantasies to horrors
Every breath, every action
With you on my mind

Every inch of my body
Craved to see you
As though your presence
Was my cure

When you were with me
The pain fluttered away
But returned with your departure
More agonizing as before

Although I deny it,
I am and will always be
Infected with the venom
That I call the fever
