Oh motivation you mystical beast. How you escape me at every twist and turn of my ordeals. Why can't you just be there when I need you? It's not like I don't have the potential, in fact if I had given one hundred percent most days I would be five times the man I am today, but alas motivation, how you seem to slip between my grimy grasp. Grimy because by the time I reach you I have waded through so much nonsensical filth tying me down from my goals, my ambitions, and my desires. Why is this nonsensical filth so alluring though? Lord knows there is no harm in wading in a bit of nonsense from now and again, but when you slip in it and your face gets absolutely covered by the sludge, it is hard to see anything rational or morally engaging beyond your field of vision. But I can hear you, oh yes I can, off in the distance talking to me "I'm this way, come on follow my voice! Yes that's it you're almost there!" And by the time I've wiped my eyes and fall into the loving embrace of you my friend I am nothing more but a mere shell of whom I once was when I started this journey through the filth and distractions. And together at last we can finally see the light, the goal, the final frontier of what we must achieve.
