A painting caught my eye today
thick brushstrokes raised in space
adorning the snug vestibule
of a “clean well-lighted place”

Cuisine picante
the savor of
smelled fiery in the air
My love’s smooth white blouse
revealing tantalizing fare.

Lipstick on the rim
the woman makes the wine
seared pink ahi drizzled
in a crazy gourmet line

Pink Spring blossoms spin into our lunch

Poised on elbows
leaning toward her on the table
looses the best poetry
of which my heart is able
