Seeking and Finding

I was lost in the darkness
looking for the light
there were no stars to guide my way
and no moon to calm my fright;
the only thing that I could do
was kneel down and pray.

I intoned
God’s Most Great Name,
in that moment
dawn’s bright rays
warmed my trembling soul.
