Brownback Protects Slime

         By now everyone should be aware of the use of the filler commonly referred to as pink slime.  Slime is composed of whatever is left of an animal after the good cuts of meat are removed during processing.

         This filler when added to ground beef sells for the same price as the beef itself increasing the profits to the Corporation. I am not aware of any limitations as to the amount of filler that may be used in the beef so I assume it may be pretty high.

         Recently a popular chef brought the use of pink slime to the attention of the American public enlightening them as to what the large Corporations were including in their food. Since then several major food stores and hamburger chains have discontinued the use of pink slime in their products. Some people have stated that the quality of pink slime is approximately equal to that of dog food (comment made on FOX News).

         Naturally these meat processers began to lose sales, and sought the assistance of several Midwest Governors to try and assure the general public that the filler was safe which I’m sure it probably is, but what about the quality of the product?

         One of these Governors was Governor Sam Brownback from the State of Kansas. Governor Brownback claimed this product is safe, and complained that some three hundred people have lost their jobs over this.

         For years now the meat packing plants in the Midwest have been laying off loyal American citizens and replacing them with illegals from other countries. These Corporations make large sums of money by replacing Americans with illegal aliens.


         Now these politicians are concerned about saving jobs, but where were they when the American citizens were losing their jobs to illegal aliens? Not one of these Governors came forward to complain about that.

         It is becoming more apparent that the Corporations and Politicians are working not for all the people, but for their own interest, so of course they want to continue using cheap fillers in lieu of good quality meat because it increases their bottom line as does the employment of illegal aliens. Naturally these Corporations have the resources to influence and support the politicians.

         Governor Brownback would like us to trust him when he claims that this product is a good product, but how can we be sure he is sincere? When Senator Brownback was running for the office of Governor he entered a debate in Wichita Kansas with a Democratic opponent. During that debate Mr. Brownback was asked if he voted for the Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae massive bail outs and his response was “NO” he did not vote for the bail outs. Unfortunately, the Congressional Record shows that in fact Senator Sam Brownback “DID” vote for the massive bail out that the American people are expected to pay.

         My question is this, if Governor Brownback would lie about his bail out vote, how can we be certain he is telling the truth about pink slime?

         I side with the rest of America, and choose not to eat pink slime especially when it is produced by illegal aliens that have stolen the jobs of my fellow Americans, and when it is supported by a politician that is less than honest with his people.
