A Poem about a River, about a soul, about a feeling of longing.

My heart beats
Ever so slowly
The water, Calm, Cool and serene
It flows, like blood in my veins
Seeking an opening, seeking a destination
Its’ pulse, quiet and loud
With Fish Swimming and Crayfish crawling
Its’ heart beating, giving and taking life
Crashing against grassy shore and slippery rocks
It flows ever onwards
A cool touch, A breath of fresh air
Ever connected, slowly depleted, yet renewable
The river of my soul
By it
Ever so slowly
My heart Beats.
