Unsheathing my blade, I stared at the murderer, his head bent in shame. Hands trapped in the chains, he could only watch as I walked towards him, savoring the moment. As I stood before him, he let out a blood piercing scream. Tears ran down his face like a river, mixing with blood and sweat. Suddenly, I felt regret. Surely, this was not my destiny. Crying, I looked down at the man who had killed my family. He would not get away with his crime. Shuddering, I closed my eyes and let my hands guide me. Blood exploded, and covered my plated chest. Tendons were ripped as though they were paper, and a heavy object hit the ground. Staring at the decapitated, mangy head, I felt strong emotions. The man, who had taken my life from me, was dead. Yet, I didn't feel happiness. I collapsed on the ground, praying. I had to do this. My life is complete. Lifting up my sword, I aimed it down at my chest. I felt my chainmail tear, as the links were severed. Gasping, I dropped the blade that had committed two killings. Holding my hands over the wound, I saw they were soaked scarlet. I lifted my head and howled. My face was set in an eternal cry, as I fell to the ground. Peace was mine. I would sleep forever.
