Words
Weapons
Hedonistic intentions
Living for gratification
There can be nothing less
A mountain of a mess
Standing on top
Screaming hear me or not
Down below
Feeble-minded goons
Walking in rows
All going with the flow
Where, they dare not know
Their doom is waiting
Just beyond living
They could care less
Ignorance is such bliss
Their faith is a weapon
Pointed in the wrong direction
Their hand alone is on the trigger
Quite easily pulling it repeatedly
Such a grievous self-inflicted wound
Is hemorrhaging
Not only blood
But the essence of what
It means to exist
I feel sorry for them
We, them and I
Share some of the same flaws
I am not perfect
How could I ever be
I am car wreck of an example
Of a person that questions everything
That is how I came to this place
To this mountain of a mess
That allows me to be elevated
Just out of their afflictions reach
I could fall, down to the cold ground
I could jump, fate defined by gravity
I could join their ranks
Filling in the spaces between
Allowing myself to be like them
Unified faith through ignorance of the facts
I could do all those things
If I was as capable as they seem
But I am not, no way, not ever
So here I will remain
On my mountain of a mess
Living in excess
As I am sure that life was meant…
