My Thoughts and Feelings on Heaven

Everything happens for a reason
But who's the one doing the reasoning
One word spoken against the one is as good as treason
But who are you to leave us to bereaving
You expect us to believe, believe in something we can't see
But that was your one and only folly
It we knew where they go when their gone we would hold the key
But we don't and that's that and still you remain holy
You sit up high and mighty on your throne made of gold
But we sit down in poverty on our high cost of living
Why don't you do something, the help we need in your hands you hold
But then again you were never known for giving
I wonder how you sleep at night knowing that we weep in sorrow
But maybe you don't sleep, dreams you will never know
Our dreams, they consume us till were hollow
But when and only when we achieve what were destined to be we can go
Maybe in a day, maybe in a week, maybe in a month, maybe in a year
But when we go we will never know until the very time
Some of us it's hard to discern why it is we are here
But we will go to the ends of the earth to find our prime
My thoughts and feelings are here to stay
But once I go I will know what it is that makes you so helpless
I will not go down on my knees and pray
But I will keep in mind that maybe i don't have the whole, but I must confess
That if you and heaven are for real, I could say
I will listen and try to comprehend
What it is you are trying to accomplish
Because everything happens for a reason.
