A collection of three short poems.
White-Winter Snow

In the white-winter snow she walks,
In a green forest filled with hawks,
With nothing but hunger for company,
She walks, and walks, and walks

Her hair a golden-yellow brown,
Red lips pursed, brows in a frown,
With determination that cannot go out,
She walks, and walks, and walks

The sun above sinks lower,
Her legs moving slower,
And as the fear sets in,
She walks, and walks, and walks

Finally, her legs give away,
She cannot keep the fog of sleep at bay,
So she gives in to her dreams of peace,
And sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps.

Listen

Do you hear that sound?
People talking everywhere,
No one can listen.

Thinking way too fast,
And talking way too fast, how will we learn?
No one can listen.

I dream of the peace,
Spread by people listening.
Please open your ears.

Do you hear that sound?
Whispering grass, birdsong, trees.
Slow down, be at peace.

Paradise

Birds chirping outside,
Average temperature, ninety.
Hello, paradise.

Water a lazy flow,
Sun warming light on my back,
Hello, paradise.

Anything comes true,
Nothing is impossible.
Hello, paradise.

But storm clouds must come,
Raining down reality,
Goodbye, paradise.
