A storm approaches


Ear drums bleed with fear.
Commanding crashes surround.
Droplets pound like God’s bullets;
attack my haven.
Crack, crack, limbs fall to their death.
Air reeks of destruction’s scent.

The Sedoka consists of a single stanza, comprised of six lines. The form has a syllabic count of 5-7-7-5-7-7. No rhyme is required, however, keep in mind that the Sedoka is orginally a musical poem that used to be sung (maybe still are) in Japan
