Tribute to an unknown friend

As I walk through the door, I am greeted with a smile,
I'm walking through a corridor, like a brightly lit aisle.
You shake my hand, I feel your touch,
but I can not see your face that much.
Curiosity strikes my head, a thought I can not shake.
A thank you is what I wish to send, to you I wish to make
You left a gift for me today, so thankful, that I am.
It encourages me to know that you hear
and to know you understand.
The pain I felt is mine to share
with you and all your friends
and to also help me brave the world
and to help me make amends.
I'd thought I'd write a thank you poem
in case you might look in,
and see that I appreciate the kindness
you have within.
So thank you for the upgrade gift
the one you've given me.
I'll do my best, to share more words
so all the world may read.
