A brief thought for the reader's consideration. |
Does anyone have the time? The time to talk to a child who is seeking himself? Does anyone have the time? The time to aid the single mother who is starting to break? Does anyone have the time? The time to learn about the man who seems different from everyone else? Does anyone have the time? The time to teach the young who are so impressionable? Does anyone have the time? The time to hug the woman who sits doing puzzles all day in a nursing home? Does anyone have the time? The time to wave to the mailman who is contemplating suicide? Does anyone have the time? The time to thank and smile at the waitress who took too long with your drinks? Does anyone have the time? The time to feed the hungry homeless man who drinks to forget the sight of a friend shot and killed? Does anyone have the time? The time to eat lunch with the co-worker whose work is starting to slip? Does anyone have the time? The time to listen to the elderly man who simply wants to talk? Does anyone have the time? The time to hold that person who means so much? Many would argue that there simply isn’t time. The day is too full and there is too much to do already. But what is life? Life is made up of time. For some, time runs out too quickly. For some, time seems to drag on and on. For some, time will only tell. For some, time heals the wounds. For some, time is running out. Won’t you share some of your time? |
