A special, short poem of a religious nature about a man giving an important performance.

Upon a stage
Within the wilderness of our ways
Stands a man
He is giving a performance
Certainly the one of his lifetime
The crowd is vacant
No one is listening
As he always has he persist
He won’t give up
Because he believes in us
Far more we believe in ourselves
He is no god or deity
Nothing special or defining of him
Except for the fact
That his faith is quite strong
But certainly not infallible
His unoriginal message
Has been spewed long before now
The importance of his words
Are highly underrated
By todays over saturated lemmings
To get them attune
He must come up with something new
Crafted from all that is old
He starts off slow
Building with tenacious fervor
He screams amen at the end
Of each increasingly spoken sentence
A call to arms if you will
Finally after three sets
He gets the crowd’s attention
They are undoubtedly interested
If only for that moment in time
His next words will be god upon themselves
As well as everyone that is listening
He says, my brethren, my friends
Heed thy warnings, understand the implication
Have faith in all that you cannot prove
Stand at the edge of the tallest cliff
Fear nothing of what is far down below
Be ready to jump in need be
Down you will go, only to rise again
The true paradoxical nature of what is being said
And what is being expressed must not be understated
I am just and actor, a fool for this glorious stage
I live to render this performance to you
There is and can be nothing else for me
Certainly some might say that I play Jesus
To them I would dare reply, this is no act…
