Just a flood of emotions on paper

So the sad thing is I know what's keeping me awake at night.
What leaves me tossing and turning in bed all the time.
I know my heart and its unexpressed emotions.
All the bottled up feelings from so many years on earth.
This cork is fragile, brittle and cracking.
My thoughts are swelling in a turbulent hurricane.
All this confidence I front with is a shroud of falsehood.
The reality is the uncertainty you see when you're near me,
when my shoulders are slumped and I can't keep my back straight.
It's because of my stomach all the butterflies swarming,
my heart racing, thoughts drowned in a tidal wave of emotion.
Your smile weakens me to the point of collapse,
and your voice finishes me off like a battering ram.
I can't bear these uncontrolled emotions,
these words left unsaid are like a thousand pound weight.
I lose myself when I'm near you,
or maybe I'm found, found by you,
in this jungle of secrecy, this labyrinth of pain.
But soon you'll be gone and later you'll be found,
By someone better than I who'll sweep you away into a faraway land.
And I'll drift back deeper into the darkness,
and the walls of my heart will thicken.
But you'll still have a place if only in my memories,
the few I may have I shall cherish.
I may become a mere punctuation mark in the story of your life.
But I just want you to know that you are a full book in mine,
For a moment with you is a lifetime to me,
and my memories of you I recall with great detail.
So I bid you farewell and good luck,
