2nd version of a poem with the same concept: A poem about what I see within myself. |
-I Hate Your Face (2)- by Keaton Foster I hate your face And your solemn ways You completely disgust me Sickening the air I breathe Infecting the reality I see Is there any reason for such hate Is there any reason for me feeling In such a toxic way towards you Are you deserving of such disgust What could have you possibly done Standing naked and accused Are you exposed or am I Weakness or strength Arrogance or resentment Does any of it make a difference Or is the hate I have for you And your face just the way Of the world we both call ours We are one and the same You and I Reflections turned enemies I hate your face I do what I can to let you know To make you understand But you do nothing Not a damn thing Except stare back at me With those increasingly vacant eyes Tears sometimes flow The brightest lights no longer glow Alive in death does indeed show Backwards everything seems Reality and duality screams I hate your face The same face that is mine Such reflections do not lie Impossible is the truth to hide I must face who I am And what I have become Because like you and I They are both the same… I Hate Your Face (2) Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. link to 1st version of poem
