Grace

Grace is UNMERITED FAVOR
Granted in spite of who you are or what you've done
Given freely by He who represents the essence of Love
Given to remind us that we are fallible - but loved

My path has been met by Grace so many times
I have come to know it intimately
I have come to appreciate its healing power
I have been allowed to relish in its abundance
And I know that I am most undeserving

Yet You continue to honor me with it
You hold me in the palm of Your Hand
And use it to demonstrate that no matter what I've done
You love me unconditionally

Words cannot begin to express
My awe and wonder
As I look at my life and realize
That out of so many people in the world
I am at the lowest end of those who deserve Grace

But I have come to learn that Grace exists outside of me
That I have no power over it:
I cannot give it - and find it difficult to accept and receive it

So I rest here in Your arms and thank You

For giving me Grace:
Everything I needed - when I needed it - and when I didn't even know I did
And for continuing to do so
With Love and Mercy
