I sit here,
Surrounded by fear.
So unaware,
Of any peace in the air.
All I can feel,
Is the metal around my heel.
And it surrounds my wrist,
Holding down my clenched fist.
They will throw the switch,
My teeth will clench,
My mind will unravel,
And then I will travel,
To a distant place,
That is without a face,
And there I will be,
For all eternity.
And so I sit here,
Surrounded by fear.
