When everything started, over a little note
That I wrote for you, to take a chance
My very first time, falling into a childhood romance
My dearest friend, who changed my world
Just and only you, this promising gorgeous girl
The fun we had, the times we shared
Proved to be forever, forever and so fare
I remember you, and carried with me your strengths
And no matter what happened, no matter the lengths
My memories of you, though I mourned helped me to stay alive
And it's because of you, that boy I was was able to survive
I never stopped looking and I never will
But I've found you now and even still
