Just a poem I wrote a long time ago.
He went to hell on a Cancer train
Amidst a haze of pills and pain.
It ate his body and numbed his brain;
And you know it's a one-way track.

She watched the train as he pulled away
And wished she remembered how to pray
And wondered how she'd get through the days,
'Cause she knows he won't be back.

We stand alone and say goodbye.
We shed our tears and wonder why
We're lost beneath the cold, dark sky;
And the picture fades to black.
