I wrote this poem when my friend and I were arguing.
Just out of the blue
I miss you
but I see you everyday
Something's in the way
the public me
I feel like that's all you can see
You say it's guilt
You're tearing at what's been built
I don't even think you like me anymore
It's like talking to a closed door
You always make excuses
Why are you lighting all these fuses?
We never truly speak
I feel like our connection is weak
It’s all so fake
The truth is drowning in a lake
We need to set things straight
Before it’s too late
