Before i met you

My life was all in black and white

For me happiness was not an option

And nothing did sound right

I've been living in a daily sorrow

With no one near by my side

Loneliness was eating into me

And disturbing my sleeping at night

I was within an inch of madness

And I was about to lose my mind

But then you dashed into my life

And you gave me a reason to fight

Your love warmed my heart

And made my days look so bright

As if the sun has finally risen

And melted the ice with its beams of light

You draw a smile on my face

And you fill my life with delight

You make sadness slip away

Like a slipping child on a slide

Thank you for being my friend

And thank you for holding me tight

I will never forget about you

And our friendship is what i'll grasp with pride....
