When I think of you and me
I think of a honeysuckle breeze
Summer time and shade trees
Tire swings and sweet tea

Summer nights and fireflies
Whispered secrets and secret ties
Bound in shadows of starry skies
Unaware of time

In a blink it was too late
Time separated us or was it fate
Broken are the ties that bind
But how, when you are mine

I remember as I get older
How sweet it was, my surrender
To a young love in summer
That I dreamed of in winter

When I am flooded with memories
I savor the taste of sweet tea
And think of cool lakes and tire swings
You, me, and a honeysuckle breeze
