A poem I wrote for a friend.
I know a girl named Cassie.

I've only known her a short while. But, since, I cannot help but smile,

Whenever she shares hers' with me.

This girl I know, her name is Cassie.

I know a girl named Cassie.

If we weren't parted by great distance...and if she shared the interest,

With half a mind, I'd make her mine, and long to feel her kisses.

...And, I can't help being reminiscent of a dream I had, one instant,

Of a girl, like her, in reverie, who came to share that Dream with me...

Where we danced so many fantacies.

This girl I know, her name is Cassie.

I know this girl named Cassie.

The tragedy of dear Cassie, is that she seems quite sad at times.

But here, today, I write away.

To counter any lonely sighs, and make her share another smile.

...'Cause frowns don't match those soft blue eyes.

So, Any time she feels the need

To calm her ails, or silence wails, She has this pleasant read.

And if you see her on the street, please stop and tell her "Hi" for me.

This girl I know, her name is Cassie.
