“Can we go on our scooters”?

“Can we go on our skates”?

“Can we walk”?

“No!  Get into the car, NOW”



“Why can’t we use our”?



“Dominic, the bikes and scooters and skates are in the car, we are going somewhere too far to bike, scoot or walk.  Don’t talk, just get in the car and away we can go”



“Are we nearly there yet”?



“No”



“Are we going to the zoo”?



“No”



“Are we going to the fair”?



“No”



“Just wait until we get there”



“Are we going to the beach”?



“No”



“Can we get a cream cake”?



“No”



“Can we have an ice-cream”?



“No”



“Why not”?



“BECAUSE WE ARE IN THE CAR”!



“Here we are”



“Can we bike”?



“Yes”



“Can we scoot”?



“Yes”



“Can we walk”?



“Yes”



“Can we have a cream cake”?



“Yes”



“Can we have an ice-cream”?



“Yes, but we can’t do everything all at once”
