a poem on finding our pride for our country |
Finding our pride Freedom has become increasingly Hard to explain to the young Miscommunication has interrupted And a lack of country spirit has begun What happen to the heart felt Faith and country pride To stand and give respect To the flag not be ashamed and hide It hurts to feel the nation becoming Less understanding of American life It hurts to see the young people Not understand the world’s strife We have it so well here in our American promise land That we don’t pay attention to the Soldiers out stretched hand How they fight for us And keep us so free To let us live our lives with Love, freedom, and glee The soldiers before and the Soldiers now fighting Have given us freedom that people Are now loathing How did it come to this lack Of respect for our nation How did we lose our faith in The flag, any inclination? How can we get back on the Right path of American pride? How can we teach people to Stay on the right side? We must all keep our heads High, and never faultier So be thankful and bow a knee Or pray at an altar Fight for a country that so Proudly keeps you free Defend your country even When it’s attacked verbally We must restore our countries Pride, be ready and strong To keep our flags flown high When an enemy comes along So when you hear that star spangled Banner played clear and loud Put a hand over your heart, look At the flag and stand up proud. |
