What anger does to us and those we love... |
Why we shout in anger at those we love? Near to heart yet we raise our voices, We can address to them with love and care, But go ahead with hostile choices. "Words sharper than a mighty sword, they say" It will cut through deep and reach the soul, One may not bleed in red for all to see, Damage done, Remorse will not console. Anger distances us from those we love, Broken chords of love drifts us away, A seed of ego gives birth to vengeance, Once sown, to weed out there is no way. We follow our selfish whims and fancies, Care little for someone else’s feelings, Foresee our understanding as complete, In a single blow wreck everything. Nothing gained by inflicting undue pain, A little refrain can make a change, Relationship broken like chinaware, Hard to put back the pieces deranged. Swap anger with unconditional love, One will see only wonders at work, Anger can only give you much distress, Love makes you forever, a bulwark.
