This is about losing someone very close to my heart, because of old age.
My great grandmother and I were best friends, and still are. But very, very distant best friends. She passed away on August 5th, 2011. I was 11 years old, and I have never gone through such sadness, and depression. It is now almost August of 2013 and my family and I are still attempting to recover. Anybody can try to hide what they are really feeling, but they can never really let go of it.
My great grandmother had met my great grandfather, and got married. I never met him, but eventually I will. Well after their wedding they had their first child, which is my great aunt. They moved from their house, and bought a different one in Marion, PA. There they had 3 more girls, one of which is my grandmother.
By the time they were old enough to walk and talk fluently, their father turned into an alcoholic. This would get so bad, that my great grandmother had to hide her children around the neighborhood and herself, because he would threaten to kill them. After all the "children" moved out including the youngest one, which is my grandma, he settled down because at this point he was a grandfather. He became sweet and had a warm heart.
After my great grandfather died, my great grandmother, and her daughters went through a great loss.
