Sometimes I wish I weren't a misfit
I truly am you see,
It won't offend me if you agree,

I've come to terms.

I'm too young,
I'm too loud,
I have my own ideas of the way things should be
And people don't like to have their boats rocked.

I have something inside me
That they have no tranquilizers for
And it needs to come out
Or my heart is going to explode.

I don't care if you don't like it,
I don't care if you think i should shut up, get hit by a truck, or drown.

I am who I am and I like that.

But they tell me that I am a rebel for doing things differently than everyone else,
They make me feel like an outcast because
I don't fit into their mold
And never want to.

Yes, I am who I am and I like that,
But sometimes it's hard to

In a world where everyone says
to make a wave that goes another way,
But stops you when you go past their yield sign.

So call me a rebel
If you think that's what I am it's fine.
I'm German anyway.

Just don't pretend to understand or know
what your talking about
Because you don't.
Don't pretend to care
Don't pretend to love me
Don't act like your my leader
If your to proud to serve me first.

Today, I'm proud to be a misfit.

Perhaps someday another misfit will find me.
