Cornered by darling's day of reckoning,
Accommodating past's disregard
A sin with much the insightful word.
It came to play,
Lulling futures away.
Bitter cold stones lining the walk,
Furthermore, it must be travelled along.
With each rung comes a slip in step,
Incomprehensibilities of life
Pass so close to home.
Reverent to her honor,
Kneeling near the bitter cold stones.
A fire she becomes
Burning, flesh melting
Boiling, above these many bitter cold stones.
Face growing pale,
The past begins to grow.
And as ash,
She falls across these adjacent stones.
Cornered by infancy,
Treading such an unfortuned course.
Shall I find pity within?
Or bore you with a wave,
From days long and too far.
Farewell, goodbye.
Best things in life
And their memories;
Oh how they do scorch,
Though, so close to ice.
I'll walk here...
In this place
With bitter cold stones.
