Short Autobiography of Patrick Prince Healings. I am Patrick Prince Healings born as Patrick Prince Egwakhide into a family of six men and six ladies to a father who by clan status was one of the richest amongst the people who live by toil of the natural tropical earth. This was at a time young men and young females would trek a distance of not less than fifty kilometers to fetch water carrying calabashes on their heads from streams under the moon light. The main supply of energy besides the sun rays was the moon that guides the night because the early colored men that arrived the horizon were chased away by a host of fetish bees that stings devil bees on faces of the several adventurers whose bright light was hampering the regions night life. Egwakhide Jamese the first as he was popularly called was the major supplier of wild beasts to the whole region as he by the use of ancestral powers could defeat any forest tiger or the mountain red lions. In one of his mid night encounter with a garrison of feasting lions who were beating drums and jubilating on one new year eves Jamese uncovered the kingship drum from a hole that the lions hide it and that is the royal symbol that is used to crown kings in that region until this day. My mother Alimotu was a peasant farmer who loves to give and share what she had, through that she made many friends of high reputation that played important roles in the life of the Prince. Though there was no proper account of when I was born I believe strongly I am in my thirties while I am given late twenties. After childhood I was tutored under my elder brother a police who played an important role in my early education and discipline. At a later time I would travel abroad and train myself up to university level where I obtained a bachelor degree in business management and a drop out from my second degree study in journalism. In spite of my educational background I practice act of writing as a journalist in foreign lands in an African related magazine called My Africa.. I have written several unpublished poems , short stories and currently writing three books; The adventures of Prince Baga Baga Deshege- a tragedy, The mass wedding of the seven sisters and the seven brothers- romantic approach, and The afro-charcoaled blood- a mystical genre that exposes African pantheism that lead to racial extermination in other word genocide. As someone who believes in supernatural power there is nothing under the sun outside the control of that mighty and omnipotent one and that power is God by whom I am where and I am who I am today. I advise everyone to believe in something that leads to love existentiality. I ,,,,,,, Patrick Prince Healings. |
