All Questions Answered

I blazed a trail through a whole lotta hallways
and created a path most wouldn't believe.
I've been up and down and my name
is the only thing I've got to attach myself
         to this game.
Life: it's been said many times what it "is",
but it's true that it's setbacks and struggles,
         hits and misses.
We don't go together if we don't grow together.
One day's problems are another day's teachings.
Am I happy? No, but I'm surviving...
I'll be the next man up always trying to get by.
If the ink still bleeds and the checks keep clearin'
and every day's the same if not open season,
then I can blow up these walls around me
with a good beat that has a surrounding
similar to the love of a family...
we take the joys and pains appropriately.
I don't get old as much as I know as such
that sometimes life can suck,
but how we get over the bad days
         in however many ways
will define who we are from what we became.
         Once.
In the grand scope of hindsight do I shoot
at the only targets I could've predicated hope
         on.
If I did this for a living I'd be a CEO
charting progress in a world full of
         everyday unknowns
but this is my health, my boundaries,
my foundation and my honesty.
You can hold me to that.
Just don't mistake me for my past with that.
I've got the info and some kinfolk,
so I'm not oppressed in my silly sad-speak.
I'm glad to know now where my pain goes
and in 38 more years I'll see
         how what I've missed out on shows.
You've gotten it all at me, living.
I can't wait for it to be my turn.
         My Thanksgiving.
A daily basis that proves my worth
to a secular society that can get behind
         what it is I work for.
I don't need anything
unless you've got something worthwhile to bring.
I can do that. I can be that.
I will mutually accommodate and respect that.
Believe me for not believing in me
when you know better as how you see me
and I'll prove you plenty in the best way possible...
I can reign over life if I choose to be
         unstoppable.
If I've got a dollar then I'm not broke
and if I've got love
         then I know I'm not broken.
Love's the answer and the means.
