This is the first chapter of a story i'm writing about my son from his pov he has ADHD
He opened his eyes and looked around, something wasn't right something had changed but he had no idea what.  He moved his arms and legs, nope it wasn't them so what was it? A feeling grew inside him getting stronger and stronger it wasn't nice at all, he didn't like this one little bit,  He opened his mouth and did the only thing that made sense to him and let out an almighty cry.  In a matter of seconds the feeling inside him exploded and the screams hit top pitch, he could hear he foot steps , ahhh good she'll be here she'll make it better like she normally does.  The smiley face was here bending over looking at him

" aw its ok" she soothed "I'm here whats up we're gonna make it all better, are you hungry? " Her arms reached down and picked him up and placed him to her chest he looked over her shoulder sobbing the feeling still there. It will go this will make it better, but no it was building again.  She cuddle him close and made her way out of the bedroom and headed downstairs kissing him and soothing him.

"First my baba boy bum change" she place him on a changing mat and began to undress his legs, he didn't like it one bit and began  to protest louder then before.  She smiled and rubbed his tummy he always liked that but this time it made him mad, he kicked his legs and screamed to the point of gagging. She pulled her hand away quickly and moved faster with the nappy change. "Have you got a sore tummy? " she asked, his legs kicked harder and faster he wanted her to stop.

She picked him up and made her way to the kitchen for his bottle, that boy was running around with toys again, "be careful" she called out as she grabbed the bottle and made her way back into the living room.  She sat down and place the teat to his mouth, as soon as it hit his gums he clamped down on it and began sucking hard gulping the milk.  He felt her pull him closer and she began to stroke his head, she did this every time  he was upset normally it made him smile he liked this lots he liked her calling him mama's baba boy but today, today everything was different, it still felt nice he still liked it but he had that feeling today and that he didn't like.  He pulled away from the bottle and bellowed again, she looked worried and sat him up. His face was red and clammy from the screaming " Whats wrong baba , are you poorly?" she asked pulling him to her again "think we gonna have to take a trip to the doctors."  She waited for him to calm and offered him the bottle again and when he had finished it she placed him in his highchair and gave him some toast, he liked toast he liked way it went mushy in his mouth and it tasted nice too.  He saw her pick up that noise thing, she was silly she pressed buttons and then talked to it she shouldn't do that she didn't seem to understand that it was for biting, he liked to bite it when the boy passed it to him but she always took it off him saying no and telling the boy no it wasn't meant for little boys or baba's.  She finally finished being silly and smiled

"ok my boys its time to go out lets get our coats on then its buggy time for baba"  he carried on chomping his toast while the boy made that annoying noise he did it when ever it was buggy time.  He liked buggy time he got to look at different things and different faces and if he smiled the faces smiled back and said he was beautiful, he didn't always like the boy during buggy times, the boy sometimes poked him and shouted but sometimes the boy was nice and smiled and pulled faces at him that made him giggle other times the boy just ignored him.  He didn't mind he liked to look around and see new things and if he could grab things, grabbing things was fun especially when he could get them to his mouth he liked to feel things and taste things but she wasn't always happy with that.  Sometimes she took things off him and said no not for baba dangerous, he really didnt like it especially when things tasted nice but things didn't always taste nice sometimes they tasted horrible and he pulled faces that made her giggle.

She came over to him and he began to cry again "shhhhhh its ok it time to get coat on now baba, shhhh its ok " she pressed the big thing near his tummy and moved the things from around his shoulders and lifted him up placing him back to her shoulder cuddling him.  "It's time for coat now" she said as she put it on him and then carried him to the buggy.  When all three was ready they headed out the door he was still crying it wasn't nice today he didn't like it, the boy held the buggy and she talked but he couldn't hear the words from his cries and the cars.

The doctor looked at her and said " his tummy isn't tender so i don't think it's his tummy it could be teething, a headache or the start of a cold just see how he goes and if he's no better in a few days or gets worse bring him back"

"are you sure, he's definitely not himself I've never heard him cry like this, he's normally such a happy baby if anything half the time we don't know we have him" she replied she looked worried again.  His cry got louder this feeling was making him miserable why wouldn't they make it go away .

"I'm sure" the doctor said and smiled "try not to worry he'll be back to himself soon"  she smiled at the doctor and placed him back in the buggy

"thank you" she said to the doctor and we headed home.

This was the first of many trips to the doctors over a number of weeks, always with the same answers but things didn't get better they just got worse and worse

"its probably teething"  "he's just out of sorts" "its just a phase he'll grow out of it"

But he didn't it went on and on and as he got older things progressed as he finally hit is development milestones, always later then his peers and with each milestone came new problems and new challenges.
