A longer, twisted poem about position and place in this world via my mind. |
-Under Me- by Keaton Foster Under me On your back Looking up Quite a gap Distanced defined Another percept of time Two human beings Upon different planes One soaring The other crashing down It’s just not fair Nor was it meant to be From so very far below See what I intend Know Understand Parchment in hand Write it all down Tell the twisted tale For honorary sake Maybe you’ll win the prize Something unable to be spent A significant difference When there should be none Watch the beautiful end Your end to be exact Coming right down Upon you Dare not be afraid Hold nothing In your chest and mind Further empty every ideal Dismiss it all if need be Slay every dream Fight if you must Be less concerned All will matter none Under me Is where you belong Where you Have placed yourself I am no master Just a tragic fool in kind The roles could be opposed But for one important fact A significantly crucial difference Between you and I I am not weak Not an ounce of fear Or anything unclear Pours through this heart Runs through this brain I am an emotionless pit Inside a cavernous void Under me Is where you belong Where you Have placed yourself Will you ever rise again Confidently I think not In such a dynamic place As limited time traces on Everything that holds you down Will become unquantifiable heavier And increasingly burdensome You will be crushed to death Squished like a bug on a sidewalk Traversed by only giants Under me Will you die I think not What you will do Is suffer greater Than ever before Before I’m done with you You will beg to go back To what you had But be assured That it’s all gone You are very much alone Under me Is where you belong Where you Have placed yourself I am just doing my part Fulfilling my part of the story… Under Me Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
