We're bad for each other
    But we ain't good for anyone else.

We snap, shout, snip, yell
    Shove, glare, mock, and hurt each other.

'Why do you two even talk?'
    All you do is hurt the other.

'Because,' we reply
    'I hate him (her).'

They roll their eyes.
    Mutter and walk away.

They don't see what we see
    They see what they want to see.

They don't see us
    There's so much that they miss.

They miss the concern, the respect, the genuine care
    They miss us.

They don't see him
    Asking me if I'm alright.

They don't see him
    Stopping a guy from humiliating me.

They don't see me
    Cheering for him at every game I go to.

They don't see me
    Defending him, even when he's hurt me.

They don't see
    The private glances.

They don't see
    The inside jokes, the mutual respect.

They don't see the unbreakable friendship
    They don't see us.
