A man and his pipe,
Embarking down that dark road,
Hoping to find light at the root
Not knowing the darkness of pursuit,
A terrible journey,
Sharing a fate with fisherman’s bait,
As schools of fish seek to teach,
The true distance of Mother Nature’s reach
Knowledge in name is no knowledge at all,
As it is bestowed you may come to know,
The light all have sought is that deep within,
For most, far too deep, to their chagrin,
Knowledge or peaces, which would you, choose?
Cricket croaks claim some unknown solution,
Oh how I wish I knew their intent,
For the path of knowledge pairs with a need for repent,
A man and his pipe,
Right back at the start,
Afraid to open the path to the light,
For the treacherous road brings forth a deep rooted fright.
