Scars on her heart, scars on her wrist
expose the anguish she has borne.
No more painted lips, once much kissed.
The fabric of her soul is torn.

She turns the page on drugs and lust,
which brought to her such painful scorn,
and tries to recover lost trust.
The fabric of her soul is torn.

Desdemona seeks salvation
with prospect for a brighter morn,
as she prays for reparation.
The fabric of her soul is torn.

Scars on her heart, scars on her wrist--
the fabric of her soul is torn.
