A special poem to those out there who have become inspired to write via their experiences.

There
That trail
Through those woods
Beyond this madness
Out there
At the precipice
Something loved
Something feared
I’ve been there
I’ve made that journey
Several times before
Not to take
Nor to steal
To make it my own
Would be a mistake
What is there
Cannot be owned
Cannot be possessed
Why it’s there
Exactly who placed it
Mindboggling
Is such an idea
Suggestion rears
Many thoughts
Both dark and light
Flood this head
Overtake my brain
Obsessed, I’m a convert
For me it has become
A matter of duty and love
A justifiable reason
Under this sun
Again
I make my way
To the well once more
To the edge
Of every story
I have yet to tell
To the edge of an abyss
That I’m sure is quite full
Not of matter or substance
But full of all inspiring nothing
One step in front of the last
Onward I blast
No one hears me
But that does not mean
That I remain silent
There is a point
In our wicked lives
When speaking what we feel
Even if no one hears it
Becomes more important
Than the words being spent
I am far past that point
Way beyond that indicator
To the well once more
I’ll go again and again
I’ll come back to prove
That I’m all but lost
I’ll fight the darkness
Battle those creatures
And the forest
That contains them
I’ll do what I must
For a man like me
There can be nothing less
Purpose, so clear and precise
I’ll never show anyone the way
But if they arrive at the well
I will embrace them
As one who earned the right
To stand at the precipice
Of such undeniable change
To peer into the void of ideas
To be drawn from nothing
To be turned into something
As brothers we will share
We will enslave the page
With what we know
And what we’ve been shown
Some, those in tune
Will come to understand
Those, blind, without eyes
Will remain in the dark
To the well once more
I will go
I hope to see you there…
