They say that he is dying, and there is no help!
Zack Ford, The Fighter

Zack, I've known for years and years
His Mother died, leaving him in tears.
He married young and had two sons
Indy is his wife, her heart, he won
Struggling with his health, from day to day
Zack had a debt that God required him to pay
He was always working to make ends meet
Never a slacker or someone that would cheat
Yes, Zack worked hard at everything that he did
But sometimes failed to watch out for the kid
So, while not watching, his body began to fail
Zack’s own family would have preferred he be in jail
Physically impaired, he started losing each battle
Until one day, it appeared his loss was going to be fatal
The doctors pulled all of his life supports
Stating quietly that they had very little hope
So friends and family from miles around
All started praying and coming to town
Most felt that all Zack needed was prayer and to believe
No one thought that this time Zack would really leave
This seemed to be Zack’s last time to be in the hospital
But everybody that knew Zack, knew he was not a quitter
And, God had not spoken, and so, today Zack remains in a coma
With everyone looking forward to what will come in the morning!
Like the fighter he was, Zack fooled everyone and clung to life
He carried out his own wishes, and hung in there for his wife
Once the challenge of holding on a little longer had been met
Zack exhaled once, and expelled his last breast from his chest

Pain no more, Zack was gone
Leaving behind his family and friends to mourn.
