Maybe G will start remembering where, when, and what he is
A Place Called Anomie

Chapter 5

......About halfway to the end of the path they noticed a trail to the left with a little wooden sign reading, "This Way To The Cherokee Village".  Of course they made a side trip to purchase G his moccasins.  Sashimi decided her kimono was too tight for ideal comfort so she purchased a delightful little Cherokee Princess outfit, complete with deer-skin boots, beaded deer-skin skirt and vest, and feathered head-dress.  They both liked the Cherokee Village so much they considered staying, but Sashimi thought it necessary to continue on to Anomie if there was any hope of solving Gs, (she thought of him as Jee of course), problems.  They sauntered back to the main path, holding hands, fingers entwined, arms swinging, occasionally glancing at each other with shy smiles.  G in suit and moccasins, Sashimi in Indian Princess outfit, and turned left.  They continued to the end of the path, turned right and on into the night toward Anomie.

Well, now the suspense is really building.  I think it is anyway; remember, I am just the narrator, not the author, and I don't know what's going to happen either.  In fact I wish it were possible for for me to have a little consultation with you.  I think I could be a better narrator, add a little more emphasis in the right places or demonstrate more empathy or compassion at the appropriate times, if I had a better idea how the reader was seeing this activity.  To be very honest, I am losing track of exactly what is going on.

Well, anyway, Sashimi and G have been wending their way toward Anomie.  Weaving up streets and down alleys.  Wary of the more boisterous pedestrians, but welcoming the attentions of others.  Sashimi knew exactly where she was going but G was totally lost.  Then Sashimi stopped and said, "We are here".  G said, "where?"  Sashimi said, "Here, Anomie".  G said, "How do you know?"  She said, "Believe me, I know!"  G said, "OK!"

They were standing in front of a bar.  The sign painted on the window said, 'The Same One'.  They entered by way of the swinging barroom doors, found a table in front of the mirrored back wall and began to discuss their unusual situation.

"I don't remember when I realized I don't remember why I'm her.  Wait - when I woke up this morning?  No - I don't remember waking up this morning -- not now anyway.  Wait - I remember waking up this afternoon!  Yeah!  That's definitely the last thing I remember!  But wait - it was just a little while ago that I realized I don't remember anything.  Maybe when I woke up this afternoon I still remembered what happened before and then a little while ago I forgot everything except between the time I forgot and when I woke up this afternoon?", said G.

"What the fuck!?  I would merely say, 'When the little fish bites the tail of the big fish, the big fish must take care not to bite his own tail when he turns around and eats the little fish'."  Bowed Sashimi.

"Yeah, I guess you're right.  But what am I gonna do?  Wait - maybe Al knows something.  But who is Al?  Wait! - I remember meeting him in Anomie and that was before I woke up this afternoon.  And wait!

"AIIIIEEEE!!! PLEASE stop saying WAIT all the time!  That is sooooo annoying.  When did you start saying 'wait' all the time?"

"I don't know.  Maybe I always did."  G is still extremely upset.  "I need a drink - lotsa drinks".  He looks for a waiter and thinks he has been in this bar before.  The patrons are dressed like cowboys, like a western movie.  He hopes Sashimi will be ok in the Indian Princess outfit.  "Waiter!  Bring me a bottle!  Sashimi, I've been in this bar before, or one exactly like it!"

"OK Jee, just have a few shots of your whiskey, calm down, and we will discus what is going on."

"Glug, glug, glug"

"You should use the glass."

"Glug, glug, glug - no time!  OK, relaxed now."

"When were you in this bar before, Jee?", Chokes Sashimi, parting the whiskey fumes with her hands.

"I don't know when, but I know where.  It was in Tombstone Arizona, just down the street from the hotel where they have the largest rose bush in the world.  Did you know the largest rose bush in the world was in Tombstone Arizona?  And they even had a big jar of pickled eggs and a big jar of pickled octopus on the bar, just like here!"

"No, I did not know about the rose bush, but I would like some pickled eggs and octopus".  She got the waiters attention and ordered a large plate of eggs and octopus.  G was still looking around the bar trying to smell the rose bush, noting familiar items.  Sashimi was doing something strange with her food.  Oh, how sweet, she has sliced up the eggs and placed them on the plate, making a background of circular yellow and white, then pulled the tentacles off  some of the octopi and used them to make a little picture for G.  The tentacles made a pattern on the background of eggs - she wrote I Love You with leggy tentacles and used two little plump octopus bodies for the Os.

"Ahhhh, Sashimi, The whiskey and your eggie octopus love letter are making me relaxed - and romantic."

Sashimi grins, "Mmmmm, the whiskey is making me tipsy, relaxed,  hungry, and romantic."  She eats her love message, washes it down with whiskey and gazes deeply into G's eyes.

G is mesmerized by her eyes - the moist epicanthic folds, seemingly folds within folds, moist, undulating eyelids, upper and lower, lined by hairs - folds and hairs and moist meniscus.  G licks his lips.  Sashimi is smiling - sensuously lowering her eyelids - moisture oozing between lids - Sashimi licks her lips.  G is overcome by perception.  He perceives her black pupils - his rising perception longs to plunge deeply into Sashimi's sensual eyes - her pupils seem to beckon him - her folds, lashes, vitreous humour, moist eyes beckon him.  His lurching perception penetrates her pupil - she cries - bathing his perception in her tears.  Slowly his perception penetrates to her depths.  Sashimi feels his perception touching her optic nerve and she cries out - perception plunging into her pupil - pulsating against her optic nerve - sparks lighting the depths of her eye - her aroused pupil contracts - G's aroused perception - plunging, twisting, pulsating, writhing in her spasming pupil.  "AIIIIIEEEEEE", Sashimi screams, and tries to shake her head.  G holds her head in his hands across the table, puts his forehead against hers and groans.  They both tremble - pant - slowly close their eyes.  G gently kisses Sahshimi's lips.

When G finally regains his senses, he will see Al in the corner of the room - with a flashlight - and realize that the burst of light causing the final climactic contractions of Sashimi's pupils was caused by Al shining his flashlight into the mirrors at the back of the room and reflecting it directly into her eyes..............
