Learning to appreciate your life NOW! |
Living YOUR Life! Have you been stopped dead in your tracks on your life’s path? Have you examined in your mind what you are doing and why you are here? The most soul searching journey you can take is the one that allows you to actually stand still, and do absolutely nothing, but examine YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE. Over my lifetime, I have taken a few moments to ask why am I here? What purpose do I serve? Why at this time in history? Why not 100 years ago? Believe it or not there are answers to those questions in your life, and they are not all "just because." Here is some of what I have learned. This is the time for me to carry out a purposeful life: 1. To walk amongst strangers and bring solace and comfort. 2. To be a friend to those that are friendless. 3. To contribute to making this world a better place for those most in need. 4. To share the word of hope, spirituality, love, peace, and freedom. 5. To bring a smile to a face that has nothing in the world to smile about. 6. To sing off tune out loud to share the joy in my heart. 7. To hum a tune to myself as I tackle the job that could not be done. 8. To help others remember their purpose in life. 9. To lead a life that might inspire others. 10. To talk to strangers on their journey in this world. 11. To make a difference in how things are done. 12. To remember what it was like to go through a hardship. 13. To change gradually over time without losing my purpose. 14. To ensure that my time here on earth is valuable. 15. To never forget that my life serves a higher purpose. The rewards for stopping and evaluating one's life are tremendous. 1. You recognize that you will not live forever. 2. You l appreciate every single moment that you have on earth. 3. You stop being self-centered and broaden your horizon. 4. You get to see others as important and necessary in your life. 5. You learn to make hard decisions and live with them. 6. You separate you from the crowd. 7. You become softer in your spirit, and tougher in your life's work. 8. You listen better and more to others. 9. You understand who you are, why you are, and whose you are. 10. You gain insight about you and the world around you. 12. You self-actualize in a way that strengthens you. 13. You stop being a spectator and become active in your life. 14. You begin to see things differently. 15. You make significant changes and adjustments to reach your life's purpose. Someone once told me that dying is easy. It's living that is hard. I have come to disagree with that statement to some degree. Living is easy when you choose to live the perfect life that you have been given. It is only hard when you try to live someone else's life or the life that someone else says you should live. When you throw off all of the covers, and peel your onion right down to the core, you will find that living your life is so much easier than drifting in and out of someone else's. Remember, all of your heroes and heroines are living or have lived their lives. Isn't it about time for you to REALLY LIVE yours? Titus 2:11-15a (KJV) 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Finally, remember 1 Corinthians 10:31(KJV) So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God! Peace and blessings always. |
