I cannot escape this place, this one truth that both gave me life and took it away.

Refusal
Of all things
Renewable
Change
A wisdom
Unsubscribed
I’m here
Crouched
Fetal position
An adult man
Like a child
Unable to grow
Unwilling
To ever let go
She, my mother
Deceased
Suicide over time
More of a parasite
Than an offspring
I’m screaming
For sustenance
While there is none
The teat is poisoned
Any nutrition
Has since been replaced
With a toxic stew
Of years of abuse
Always in my mind
So twisted and wide
I’m safe here
In sorrows womb
Out there
Beyond all that I care
Are total strangers
People full of dangers
Those who will hurt me
Even if they mean no harm
I am incapable of assimilation
I cannot be like them
Because I cannot be myself
I am man turned child
A child made into a monster
And a hell of a lot of things
In between
In this rotting bosom
Of creation
And dare I say
Absolute obliteration
I am safe
From everything
That I fear most of all
Which is everything
That is beyond my control
My mind a prison
My heart a cage
Even if I escape one
There is always the other
Sorrows womb
The truth
Of all that I know
And more importantly
All that I won’t
Refusal
Of all things
Renewable
Change
A wisdom
Unsubscribed
I’m here
Crouched
Fetal position
An adult man
Like a child
Unable to grow
Unwilling
To ever let go…
