Tells of someone going through agony, emotional/physical, and them finally finding peace.
Oh sweet agony
Oh how I quiver anxiously

Caught up in your saccharine bliss
My suffering I always dismiss

Seduced by day, tortured by night
I was never a pretty sight

You pleaded me to stay
The tears were always held at bay

My pain you never saw
So with the blade you continued to draw

Not once did I cry out
But my demise did you bring about

You slept deeply
While my trust fell steeply

Somehow I was still alive
But it was a struggle just to survive

I begged and pleaded with you
I screamed until my face turned blue

I had finally lost my will to fight
I had decided this was the night

I stealthily ran away
Slowly my life began to fray

I ran until I collapsed
By then my will had relapsed

I started back to you once more
Where I kneeled pleading at your door

You drunkenly dragged me inside
My body you perversely eyed

My love shone brighter than a midnight sun
I fought the whole time until the deed was done

The knife you pulled on me
Made my death a guarantee

I did not cry or wince
for you were my lost prince

All I did was once more stand
To me this was not a foreign land

“My dear,” I lovingly said
“This is the last tear I will ever shed”

“Just know with you I place my love”
And with that, suddenly, agony is what I was devoid of
