Prayers are danced, as ancestors before; now and long ago years.
Believing a quest will be answered, they listen with spiritual ears.

Traditional drummers sing love notes to Great Mystery.
Echoes of trilling travel to the skies, as a plea for life's harmony.

Rain Dancer is painted and donned in a white apron over buckskin leathers,
adorned with a bustle, silver bracelets, beads, and three eagle feathers.

Ancient and new stories are told in Red-threaded tapestries.
For all life-weavers, the rain dances are portrayed as sacred journeys.

Blessings continue to be counted with each footstep, as they abound.
Earth Mother, our beloved land, then resonates with rain's healing sound.
