The end via my own warped sense of being, maybe you can relate, then again...enjoy!

-The End-

The end
Just as it began
There are things
That we
Cannot change
That you and me
Cannot predict
Our lives
Not our own
Time and season
Lacking rhyme
And or reason
The end
Is always coming
Closer each day
Soon
Maybe later
We won’t know
When we do
It’ll be too late
Maybe
We’ll meet God
Then again
Maybe
We won’t
Transcendence
An obligatory sentence
Doing time
Upon planet earth
Trading one jail
For a new prison
One with no bars
One with no guards
Just an ever-expanding
Exercise yard
Only convicts
Will be allowed
Only those unlike me
The ones committed
The ones who embellish
Those suckers born
Each minute before
And after me
The end
Comes
And then it goes
From you to me
Then every other
There is no order
No specialty
Just alive
Then dead
Just part of this
Then not
I’m not afraid
Dare say you?
Never have I been
Not because I wish
But because
I have to be
Long ago
Before now
I promised myself
That I
Would no longer feel
That I
Would just breathe
And eat
And allow my heart
To furiously beat
Keeping my mind
Thus my heart
Sealed off
Encased
Within these dark woods
Here where creatures
Abominations
And spectral voices
Fill my days
Allow me some grace
As I
Like everyone else
Continually awaits
The end
Sooner or later
This day or the next
None of those past
Just maybe this present
Or a future event
For which I’m destined
God only knows
Fate is in control
Driving this bus
That is our existence
Right off a cliff

The end…
