A somewhat crazy poem full of deep ideas and concepts for you to wrap your head around. |
-Let Forever Drag You Down- by Keaton Foster Upon a leash Animated meat Human Is the being So all of us believe So all of us pretend Except the master The one with his hand Upon the strings To him alone We are just a thing In a world Of so damn many A sin created in jest A wickedness in this Eden He has made a mistake Grave to us Are the consequences Standard has become All that he practices No longer does he Lament what he has done Or what he must do We, us, you and me Are alive While waiting on death Visiting doom Testing the waters In the shallowest of pond Beneath is the darkness Way below our feet Down there in the dirt Terrible things are kept Truths better left Lies obviously spent We all will go Finding us a home In such a wilderness Of unknowns In a space since sown Upon our flesh Disgustingness will feast Delicious will be the dish They will be content Far more than us For it’s one Then every other next And they Those so consuming Know it Our souls Homeless without bones Will become slaves To the concept Of sink or swim Some will reach A version of utopia Others will descend Into a nothingness All-encompassing Only the living Will remain between Some Wondering why Dare by asking How come not me Why am I so lucky Never will any answer Serve a finite purpose If they find one Just as quick they’ll lose it They’ll never be content They’ll never understand Further will they swear Their allegiance Additionally adding To such preponderance God be divine Blessed are those The reasonable madmen Turned into blithering fools To them I’ll always say Let forever drag you down Let it take you where it must Let what’s left go where Such things are meant to be Only after such a point Will you know And understand Where it is you belong… Let Forever Drag You Down Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
