WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO?

Verse 1:

So much hurt,

grief and sorrow.

So many harsh words

that pierces like arrows.

Verse 2:

She watches and sees,

understands and feels,

the hurts of a young girl

caused by a harsh world.

Verse 3:

The loss and trauma

of her boyfriend and Grandma

and bullying and school,

her life was just too cruel.

Verse 4:

In the heat of anger and spite,

she'd lash out and strike,

at the one who loved her.

Her hurt and confused Mother.

Verse 5:

She rebelled and ran away

one hurt-filled day,

with another lost boy

who kept her away.

Verse 6:

The Mother's heart cried out,

with the passing of time,

"Oh, dear child of mine,

why did you have to go?"
